Life of journeys

Thousand’s

of hours of meditation and poetry

Discovery of calm and peace through art and experience

Coast…

The coastlines of Devon and Cornwall. The windswept beaches of the Outer Hebrides. The sunsets of Rhodes and Montego Bay. But best of all, as the tide goes out, at Sennen Cove.

And All Things

I worked in Cornwall on an industrial endeavour largely funded by the sale of the land which eventually became the Eden Project. Though not interconnected I became most interested in Eden’s enterprise.

In Between

Eden became and still is a place for both individual and family visits. It is a store of memories and the focus or starting point for both writing and videopoetry undertakings which have brought great joy.

…Moor

The other half of coastmoor refers to the United Kingdom’s fantastic collection of moorlands. I grew up close to the Pennine Moorlands, then moved to Dartmoor. I often. visit their wider beauty of aloneness.

Discovering the Stillness of Serenity

For a large part of my adult life I was working away from home. Living the good life in upmarket hotels, or coping with the misfortune of late bookings in downbeat establishments. But always the sauna box was ticked as an essential requirement. Over the years it became the place for both solitude or impromptu conversation.

The Morning Experience of Meditation

Having kitted out a light free, sound free room, I would set the joss stick burning, then sit down for forty-five minutes of meditation incorporating writing, reading and contemplation.
